“Help us, O LORD our God, for we rely on you.” (2 Chronicles 14:11) During the week of fasting and prayer, we want to focus on God as a community. We want to seek him for the coming year. We turn to him because we expect help, guidance, wisdom, renewal, etc. from him. We rely on him, trust him, because we know that he is our support. Jesus Christ is the cornerstone who holds the church together. He loves and builds his church.
